Son of “This Boy” Assaults “That Boy,” Fulfilling Father’s Dying Wish

images7NEW YORK—Sean Lennon, son of legendary Beatle, John Lennon, was arrested late last night after punching sixty-seven year old, Billy Balducci, square in the face, in the middle of  an Uptown restaurant.  According to sources close to the Lennon family, Balducci was “that boy” in the Beatles’ song, “This Boy” and Sean was fulfiing his father’s final wish that one of his sons take vengeance on Balducci for stealing his girlfriend back in the early sixties.

Family friend, Dari Glime, stated at press conference early this morning, “The official story from Yoko is that, before John died on the sidewalk, he whispered in her ear, ‘Tell one of the boys to knock out that bastard Balducci.  I wish I had more time.  I was going to do it myself.”

In the first verse of the song, “This Boy,” John Lennon sings, “That boy took my love away.  Oh, he’ll regret it some day.”  Apparently, Lennon never forgot his promise to make “that boy” regret what he did and was still harboring a grudge many years later.

But then why had he waited so long?  Why hadn’t he confronted Balducci earlier, some time in the sixties?  Or the seventies even?

images-12Ms. Glime continued, stating that one lesson John Lennon learned from the Maharishi during the Beatles’ trip to India was one of patience.  He had been planning a sneak attack on Balducci for close to fifteen years and was on the verge of fulfilling his plans when fate stepped in and Lennon was shot dead by Mark David Chapman on December 8, 1980.  The attack on Balducci was scheduled for December 17, nine days later.

Lennon’s son, Sean, was released from prison last night, almost immediately after being detained.  Lawyers for the family swarmed the local police station, insisting the charges were fraudulent and that the younger Lennon be released.  After the proper papers were filed and Lennon was fingerprinted, he was released, but not without first seeing a judge.

According to an unnamed employee, working in the courthouse next to the station, the charges were eventually dropped, though Balducci, the  victim in the assualt, didn’t seem satisfied with the result of the case and was overheard mentioning to a friend that he was planning on filing a civil suit.

“Mr. Balducci has no comment at this time,” said his lawyer, John Bitzkowitz.  “He may or may not be filing a civil suit against Sean Lennon.  That will be decided soon enough.  Right now he just wants to bring to light the injustice that was brought upon him.  He was violently attacked while eating dinner and the law has done nothing to punish his assailant.”

Asked whether Balducci did, in fact, regret stealing away John Lennon’s girlfriend back in the sixties, particularly after getting punched in the face by Lennon’s son, Bitzowitz stepped aside to allow Balducci to field the question himself.

“What are you kidding me?” asked Balducci.  “She was one hot tomato.  I wish she was here right now.  I’d give her a kiss right on the lips and let her know I still have the hots for her.  Oh, Madone!  She was a looker!  Whew!”
